This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental. Please
read my tutorial Terms. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04, and it should work
in other versions. You'll need a knowledge of Paintshop Pro to make this tutorial. Have fun
and enjoy :)

**Make sure you SAVE your work often!

Ready...Get set...Create!

1. Open up a New Image 400x600. Transparent. 16 million color.

**(Note you can also do a 300x500 for a thicker tag see above). using all the same steps below, and resize it to your liking. See the difference in the arches above.

2. Rename layer 1 to arch1.

3. Set your Foreground to Null. And your background to a gradient set at an angle and repeat you desire. (I used Angle125, Repeat 0).

4. Click on your Preset Shape tool, and choose the preset Elipse. Antialias Checked. Line Width doesn't matter.

5. Hold down your RIGHT mouse button to draw out your circle. At the bottom right of your screen look at the numbers. Start on your image at the numbers 142,111, and draw your circle out until the 3rd set of numbers are 169,165.

6. Effects/Geometric/Twirl. Set the number at 720.

7. Now in your layer pallette click on this layer and duplicate it. Name the duplicate arch2.

8. Image/Mirror. Use your Mover tool to place the arches as you like.

9. Activate your arche 1 layer. Add a new layer. I added a gold heart using a heart in my preset shapes tool. If you have this heart I set my foreground to a gold pattern. Scale 100. Angle 0. In options the settings I used were: Antialias checked. Width 3. Solid line and I just drew out my heart to the size I liked. If you don't have this heart it can easily be made with any heart preset.

10. New layer. Add the tube of your choice.

11. Then the text of your choice. My Foreground was NULL, and my background was the gradient I used. I used Script Sloop Two. Size 100. Vector checked. Antialias Checked. I used it Vector so it would be easy to turn, move and size it. When you have the text where you want it, go to your layer pallette Right click on this vector layer, Convert to Raster layer.

12. Effects/3Deffects/Innerbevel and applied these settings:
Preset Round. Width 18, Smoothness 10, Depth 1, Ambience -9,
Shininess 40, Color White, Angle 315, Intensity 50, Elevation 30.

And there is your Valentines twirl arches tag! There are so many possibilites of ways to make this tag,just have fun and use your imagination :)

On the tag with my name I added my flowers tube on a layer below my arches. (at the bottom of my layers). I also used my image at the size of 300x500.

FINISHING
When your happy with your image you can do 2 things:
1. New layer, name it background, drag it to the bottom and make a background, then Merge/MergeVisible. OR:
2. Right Click on any layer, Merge/MergeVisible. File/Export/PictureTube and type in the name you want it to be. Hit OK.
