This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental. Please read my tutorial Terms. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04, and it should work in other versions. You'll need a knowledge of Paintshop Pro to make this tutorial. Have fun and enjoy :) What you'll need: Paintshop Pro HERE My Pattern tiles DOWNLOAD My Selections DOWNLOAD Unzip your pattern tiles and extract them to your image folder in psp. Unzip your Selections and extract them to you selectons folder in psp, if you don't have one you can make a folder and name it "selections". 1. Open a New Image, 450x450, transparent, 16.7 million color. FEATHERS **Make sure each feather is on it's own layer in case you need to move and adjust them. Using the Mover tool. 2. Add a new layer. Name it feather1. 3. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk/ feather1.sel 4. Flood fill with your pattern tile1. (scale 100%, angle 0) DO NOT DESELECT 5. Go to Selections Invert. 6. Go to Effects/3Deffects/DropShadow using these settings: (this will be the same for all the feathers) Vertical 0 Horizontal 0 Opacity 50 Blur 40.7 Color Black OK DESELECT. 1. Add a new layer, name it feather2. 2. Repeat the same steps as you did for feather1. Only this time using feather2.sel, and using tile2. 3. Add a new layer, name it feather3. Repeat the same steps using feather3.sel, tile3. 4. Add a new layer, name it feather4. Repeat the same steps using feather4.sel, tile 4. But drag this layer to below feather3 layer. 5. Add a new layer, name it feather5. Repeat the same steps using feather5.sel, tile5. And drag this layer to below feather4 layer. BODY 1. Add a new layer, name it body. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk/ body.sel 3. Foreground color is #C99961, Background is Null. 4. Flood Fill. 5. Go to Effects/Noise/Add 8, Uniform Checked. DO NOT DESELECT. 6. Go to Selections/Invert. 7. Go to Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and use these settings: Vertical 0 Horizontal 0 Opacity 50 Blur 64.2 Color Black OK DESELECT. FEET 1. Add a new layer, name it leftfoot. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk leftfoot.sel 3. Foreground color is #8C593A, Background is Null. 4. Flood Fill. 5. Go to Effects/3Deffects/Noise Add 8, Uniform Checked. DO NOT DESELECT. 6. Go to Selections/Invert. 7. Go to Effects/3Deffects/DropShadow and use these settings: Vertical 0 Horizontal 0 Opacity 50 Blur 13.6 DESELECT. 1. Add a new layer, name it rightfoot. Repeat the steps you just did for the leftfoot. HANDS 1. Add a new layer, name it lefthand. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk lefthand.sel 3. Foreground color is #8C593A, Background is Null. 4. Flood Fill. 5. Go to Effects/Noise, Add 8, Uniform Checked. DO NOT DESELECT. 6Go to Selections/Invert. 7. Go to Effects/3Deffects/DropShadow and use the same settings as feet. DESELECT. 1. Add a new layer, name it righhand. Load righthand.sel, And repeat the same steps you just did for the lefthand. EYES 1. Add a new layer, name it lefteye. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk lefteye.sel 3. Foreground color is BLACK., Background is Null. 4. Flood Fill. 5. DESELECT. 1. Add a new layer, name it righteye. Load righteye.sel, And repeat the same steps you just did for lefteye. BEAK 1. Add a new layer, name it beak 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk beak.sel 3. Foreground color #D39831, Background is Null. 4. Flood fill. DO NOT DESELECT. 5. Go to Selections/Invert. 6. Go to Effects/3Deffects/DropShadow and use these settings: Vertical 0 Horizontal 0 Opacity 50 Blur 6.2 Color BLACK. OK DESELECT. GOBBLER 1. Add a new layer, name it gobbler. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk gobbler.sel 3. Foreground color #800000, Background is Null. 4. Flood fill. 5. Go to Effects/3Deffects/InnerBevel and use the Preset "Bead" Changing only the ambience to -29 DESELECT. CHEEKS 1. Add a new layer, name it cheeks. 2. Go to Selections/loadfromdisk cheeks.sel 3. Foreground color #D07878, Background is Null. 4. Flood fill. 5. Go to Effects/Blur/GaussianBlur, and set the Radius at 14.86 OK DESELECT HAIR (optional) 1. Add a new layer, name it hair. 2. Foreground Color Black, Background Null. 3. Use your Draw Tool 4. In your tool options set at: Type Freehand Width 1 Line Style Straight Antialias Check Create as Vector Unchecked Close Path Unchecked Now draw a few whisps of hair at the top of his head and few on his forehead. (see my finished image). EYEBROWS 1. Add a new layer, name it eyebrows. 2. Repeat the same as above only just draw a line at an angle above each eye. (see my finished Image). SIGN 1. Add a new layer, name it sign. 2. Drag it down to below the layer "left hand". 3. Foreground Color #EBCC9F, Background is Null. 4. Floodfill. 5. Go to Selections/Invert. 6. Go to Effects/3Deffects/DropShadow use these settings: Vertical 0 Horizontal 0 Opacity 50 Blur 18.5 Color #A1621F STITCHES 1. Add a new layer, name it stitches. 2. Foreground Color Black, Background is Null. 3. Use your Draw tool (looks like pencil). 4. In your tool options use these settings: Type Single Line Width 1 Line Style #5 Dashed line Antialias Checked Create as vector Unchecked Close Path Unchecked 5. Hold down your shift key and draw your line, this will make it a nice straight dashed line. (Thanks Lynn for pointing this out to me :) Now for the last part, Whew! You can put your text on your sign. Whatever Color, Size, and font that pleases you :) I used: Stoke Null Fill Black Font Tinkertoy Size 11 Now you can either Click on Layer1 and activate it adding a Background. Or you can Merge/MergeVisible and make your turkey a tube :) That's it! Now you have just a cute happy lil turkey :) I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions please Email me.
