Terms. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04, and it should work
in other versions. You'll need a knowledge of Paintshop Pro to make this tutorial. Have fun
and enjoy :)

What you'll need:
Paintshop Pro
Here
Selections
Download.
Pattern
Download.
Deco
Download.

Unzip your Selections download into your selections folder. If you don't have one you can create one easily.
Unzip your Patterns download into wherever you keep your patterns.
Unzip your Deco download into your image folder.

**Remember to Save your Work Frequently.

Open up a New Image, 450x650, transparent, 16.7 million color.

HEAD
1. New layer, name it head.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/head.sel
3. Floodfill with White.
4. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform Checked.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 21 Color Black.
DESELECT

LEFT EYE
1. New layer, name it lefteye.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/lefteye.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
4. Effects/3Deffects/InnerBevel. Apply Preset Round.
DESELECT.

RIGHT EYE
1. Repeat the same steps as in "Left Eye", but load righteye.sel

NOSE
1. New layer, name it nose
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/nose.sel
3. Floodfill with #F2A326.
4. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform Checked.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 9.9, Color Black.
DESELECT

MOUTH
1. New layer, name it mouth.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/mouth.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
DESELECT

MERGE
1. Shut off your layer 1 by clicking on the eyeglasses.
2. Right click on "head" layer. Merge/MergeVisible. Rename head.
3. Turn your layers on again by clicking back on the eyeglasses.


HAT BRIM
1. New layer, name it hatbrim.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/hatbrim.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
DESELECT

HAT TOP
1. New layer, name it hattop.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/hattop.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
4. Drag this layer below "hatbrim" layer.
DESELECT

HAT BAND
1. New layer, name it hatband.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/hatband.sel
3. Floodfill with red #C00000
4. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform Checked.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 9.9, Color BLACK.
DESELECT

HAT STAR
1. New layer, name it hatstar.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/hatstar.sel
3. Floodfill with #F9D719.
4. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform Checked.
5. Selections/Invert.
6. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 9.9, Color #C00000.
DESELECT

STAR CROSS STITCH
1. New layer, name it crosstitch
2. Choose Paintbrush Tool       apply settings in the screenshot
3. Color Black.
4. Make 4 little holes (see screenshot).









5. Choose Draw Tool         apply settings in the screenshot.
6. Color #FFFFC0.
7. Draw 2 single lines in the shape of a "X" to the black buttonholes. (see screenshot).

MERGE
1. Shutoff layer1, and head layer by clicking on the eyeglasses.
2. Right Click on "hatbrim". Merge/MergeVisible. Rename this layer hat.
3. Turn your layers on again by clicking on the eyeglasses.

SCARF1
1. New layer, name it scarf1.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/scarf1.sel
3. Floodfill with the plaid pattern. Scale 30, Angle 0.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 100, Blur 21, Color Black.
DESELECT

SCARF2
1. New layer, name it scarf2.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/scarf2.sel
3. Floodfill with plaid pattern. Scale 30, Angle 0.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 100, Blur 9.9, Color Black.
DESELECT

SCARF3
1. New layer, name it scarf3.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/scarf3.sel
3. Floodfill with plaid pattern. Scale 30, Angle 0.
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 100, Blur 22.2, Color Black.
DESELECT

MERGE
1. Shut off layers 1, head, and hat by clicking on the eyeglasses.
2. Right Click on "scarf1". Merge/MergeVisible. Rename scarf.
3. Turn your layers on again by clicking on the eyeglasses.
