Hug-A-Heart

This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental. Please
read my tutorial Terms. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04, and it should work
in other versions. You'll need a knowledge of Paintshop Pro to make this tutorial. Have fun
and enjoy :)

What you will need:
Paintshop Pro Here
Tinker Toy Font Here
Selections Download
Deco Download

I use Winzip to zip my files for download. You can get an evaluation version of Winzip Here
Unzip your selections into your selections file. If you don't have one you can create one.
Unzip your Deco into your PSP Image folder.

**Make sure you SAVE your work often!

Ready...Get set...Create!

1. Open up a New Image, 450x450, transparent, 16.7 million color.
2. Open up your hugheart pattern and hair pattern in your workspace and minimize them.
3. All your floodfills colors and patterns will be the Foreground. Background will always be NULL.

HAIR 1
1. Rename layer 1 to hair1.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/1-hair1.sel
3. Floodfill with your hairpattern. Scale 100. Angle 0.
SELECT NONE.

HEAD
1. New layer, name it head.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/2-head.sel
3. Floodfill with color #DBB5A1
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow, apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 42, Color #734323
SELECT NONE.
6. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform CHECKED.

HAIR 2
1. New layer, name it hair2
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/3-hair2.sel.
3. Floodfill with your hairpattern. Scale 100. Angle 0.
SELECT NONE.

HEART
1. New layer, name it heart.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/4-heart.sel
3. Floodfill with your heartpattern. Scale 75. Angle 0. Or Pattern of Choice. (Your Dropshadow
will then be a different color to your liking).
4. Selections/Invert.
5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 80, Blur 61.7, Color #8F1554
6. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform CHECKED.

RIGHT HAND
1. New layer, name it right hand.
3. Selections/loadfromdisk/5-hand.sel
4. Floodfill with color #DBB5A1
5. Selections/Invert.
6. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow, apply these settings:
VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 21, Color #734323
SELECT NONE.
7. Effects/Noise/Add 6, Uniform CHECKED.
STAY ON THE SAME LAYER.
8. Selections/loadfromdisk/6-fingers.sel
9. Flood fill with color #855323
SELECT NONE.
10. Activate your right hand layer. Right Click Duplicate. Image/Mirror and use your Mover Tool
to place if you need to. Rename this layer Left hand.

EYES
1. New layer, name it eyes.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/7-eyes.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
4. Effects/3Deffects/Innerbevel using the preset "Round".
SELECT NONE.

NOSE
1. New layer, name it nose.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/8-nose.sel
3. Floodfill with color #DBB5A1
4. Effects/3Deffects/Innerbevel using the preset "Round" only changing Depth 2, Shinieness 0.
SELECT NONE.

MOUTH
1. New layer, name it mouth.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/9-mouth.sel
3. Floodfill with Black or Color of Choice.
SELECT NONE.

CHEEKS
1. New layer, name it cheeks.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/10-cheeks.sel
3. Floodfill with color #A94D6B
DESELECT

LEFT SHOE
1. New layer, name it leftshoe.
2. Selections/loadfromdisk/11-shoe.sel
3. Floodfill with Black.
4. Effects/3Deffects/Innerbevel apply these settings: Preset Round. Width 14. Smoothness 15. Depth 12. Ambience 0. Shininess 25. Color White. Angle 315. Intensity 50. Elevation 30.
SELECT NONE.
STAY ON THE SAME LAYER.
5. Selections/loadfromdisk/12-heel.sel
6. Floodfill with White.
SELECT NONE.
7. Click on your left shoe layer. Right click and Duplicate. Image/Mirror. Use your Mover Tool to place. Rename this layer Right shoe.

TEXT
**Note: You can get the font Tinker Toy Here
1. Click on your text tool and apply the settings in the screenshot or change it to your liking :)
2. Place cursor on text until you see a criss-cross to move text in place.













3. Right click on floating selection in layers, Promote to layer. Rename this layer text.
SELECT NONE.

GEL HEARTS
1. Open up your gel heart image you downloaded.
2. Edit/Copy. Edit/Paste as a New layer. And place after the word "my" (See finished Image).
3. Click on your gel heart layer. Right click. Duplicate. Image/Mirror and use your Mover tool to place.

And voila! your hug a heart is done :)

Now you can do 1 of 2 things either:
1. Add a new layer. Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom, and add a background. OR:
2. Right click on any layer. Merge/Merge Visible, and make it into a picture tube by going to Files/Export as a picture tube, give it a name.
And that's it :)
