Holiday Goodies Jar |
This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental. Please read my tutorial Terms. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04, and it should work in other versions. You'll need a knowledge of Paintshop Pro to make this tutorial. Have fun and enjoy :) What you will need : Paintshop Pro HERE My Selections Download Deco Download Unzip your Selection download into your Paintshop Pro Selections Folder. If you don't have one you can create a new file. Unzip your Deco Download into your Paintshop Pro Picture Tubes Folder. The tube we are using is the little gingerbread girl I made from the tutorial by Christina. She gave me permission to include it in my tutorial. Thanks so much Christina :) (I can't find Christina's site if anybody knows if she has a new URL I'd surely appreciate the info. Make Sure to Save your Work Often! Open a New Image 450x450 transparent 16.7 million color. Save As holidayjar. JAR 1. New layer, name it jar. 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/1-hjar.sel 3. Floodfill with color #578B71 4. Selections/Invert. 5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings: VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 66.7, Color #274739 SELECT NONE. STAY ON THE SAME LAYER. JAR SHADING 1. Selections/loadfromdisk/2-hjshading.sel. Floodfill with White. SELECT NONE. RIM 1. NEW layer, name it rim 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/3-hjrim.sel 3. Floodfill with #EDEEDB. 4. Selections/Invert. 5. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow apply these settings: VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 19.8, Color #746D56 SELECT NONE. TOP 1. New layer, name it top. 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/4-hjtop.sel 3. Floodfill with #EDEEDB. 4. Selections/Invert. 5. Repeat the same settings for the Dropshadow as "rim" SELECT NONE. KNOB 1. New layer, name it knob. 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/5-hjknob.sel 3. Floodfill with #EDEEDB. 4. Selections/Invert. 5. Repeat the same settings for the Dropshadow as "rim". SELECT NONE. SNOWFLAKES 1. New layer, name it snowflakes. 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/6-hjsnowflakes.sel. Floodfill with Color #EDEEDB SELECT NONE. DECORATION ON JAR 1. New layer, name it jardeco 2. Use your Picture Tube Tool 3. Go to your Picture Tube Options and pick out the cute ginger girl. Scale 65. 4. Click her onto your goodies jar where you like :) 5. Use your Mover Tool to postion her. LID TEXT 1. New Layer, name it text. (Or instead of my selection text add your own :) 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/7-holidaytext.sel Floodfill with black or choice of color. SELECT NONE. LID HEARTS 1. New layer, name it hearts. 2. Selections/loadfromdisk/8-hjhearts.sel. Floodfill with Color #B8573F 3. Selections/Invert. 4. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and apply these settings: VandH 0, Opacity 50, Blur 9.9, Color Black. SELECT NONE. BOW 1. Activate your top layer in pallette. 2. New layer, name it bow. 3. Use your Picture Tube Tool and Choose holidaybow.tub in your Picture Tube Options Scale 55. 4. Click it onto your jar just below the knob. 5. Use your Mover Tool to position the bow.
