This tutorial is my own creation, so any resemblance to another tutorial is purely
coincidental I originally wrote this tutorial back in 2001, but have revised it. I used Paintshop Pro 7.04 to make this tutorial It works in PSP8 also, but doesn't quite look egg like using PSP9. You'll need to have a working knowledge of Paintshop pro for this tutorial. Please read my tutorial Terms. .. What you need for this tutorial Paintshop Pro Here Tools you will be using for reference: Selections Tool Retouch Tool The Image below is what we'll be using. Just Right Click and Save As Picture. You can use this image, or one of that you like. ** If you use a different image and it has a frame around it, use your selection tool, rectangle and select the area you want, and get rid of what you don't want around the picture. Then go to Image/Crop to selection. Go to Image/Resize, Uncheck maintain aspect ratio, then up to pixels 250,185. If your using this picture I've provided or have yours ready to make a egg out of do the following steps 1. Now Open a New Image 250x185, transparent, 16.7 million (24 bit) 2. Go to the original picture that you resized, Edit/Copy, Edit/Past as New Layer onto your New Transparent Image. 3. Go to Effects/GeometricEffects/Circle. 4. Go to Effects/GeometricEffects/Perspective-Horizontal the Difference set at 44. (In PSP8 or 9 Check Transparent And there's your horizontal egg! If you want a Vertical egg do the following steps: 1. If your using an image with a sky or flowers or anything that points upwards: Go to Image/Flip I know it looks funny upside down lol, but it will all work out in the end. 2. Go to Effects/GeometricEffects/Circle. 3.Go to Effects/ GeometricEffects/Perspective-Vertical apply the settings: (In PSP8 or 9 Check Transparent. 3. Go to Image/Flip again so the easter egg is pointing upwards :) JAGGIES I hate those dreaded jaggies. There are different ways of doing it. What I do is Use my retouch tool (if you don't know which one it is go to the top for reference. Apply the settings in your options (See Screenshot) and go around the edges back and forth to smooth it out. Don't overdo it they can become blurred :) FINISHING Now you can do 1 of 2 things either: 1. Add a new layer. Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom, and add a background. OR: 2. Right click on any layer. Merge/Merge Visible, and make it into a picture tube by going to Files/Export as a picture tube, give it a name. And that's it :) And voila! your beautiufl easy Easter Egg! It's fun to make a basket of these from a collection of pictures :) I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and have fun with it :) If you have any questions please feel free to Email me :) Happy Creating!
