TERMS. I made this tutorial using PSP X. It will work in Versions 8 and up. This is the very first tag I've made like this I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. I've taken a liking to the what I call "scrap-n-tag" look, and find it very relaxing to make. You'll have to have a working knowledge of PSP X, or the PSP version your using. I've included screen shots and explained each step easy to understand so that everybody can try to do this tutorial from advanced beginners up. I hope y'all enjoy this tutorial :)

**Make sure to save your work often!

Open up a New Image. 600 X 600, transparent.

Open up your santage image, minimize it. Open up your sftpattern, minimize it.

1. New Layer. Name it Frame. Foreground Null. Background use the sfIMAGE. Scale 100, Angle 0. (This is going to look very weird but it will work out after we add the mask).

** You might want to write down these coordiantes. (43,90) to (554,507) for the next step.

2. Preset Shape-Rectangle. Vector and Anti-alias both Checked. Retain Style UNchecked. Line Style-Solid. Start at 43,90 up towards the top left corner just move your mouse around and at the bottom right you'll see numbers moving if you don't go to View/Tools and click on your status. Hold down your left mouse button to 554,507. Objects/Align/Center Of Canvas. Go to your layer palette, Frame layer, Right click and Convert to Raster layer.

3. Layers/Load Save Mask/Load Mask From Disk/Find CheckBdrMask and apply: Source Luminance-Checked. Fit to layer Checked. Invert transparency UNchecked. Hide all mask-Checked. Load. Layer palette, Right click on this layer Merge/Merge Group. This is what your frame should look like now  (Yours won't have white in it). Yours will be transparent.

4. New Layer. Name it innerframe. Foreground sftPATTERN. Angle 0, Scale 100. Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Invert. Keep them Antz a marching. Go to your Layer Palette, add a new layer drag it below the frame layer. Rename it inner frame. Floodfill. Select None. This is what your image should look like now.

5. Activate your innerframe layer. Open up your sftstrip image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer, it should fall right into place. . Rename this layer strip. This is what your image should look like now.

6. Open up your minimized santa fe image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Go to Image/Flip (looks funny huh?) lol. Use your mover tool to place it up towards the top left corner (see my finished image). Layers/Load Save Mask/Load Mask From Disk/Find CheckBdrMask. Source Luminance Checked. Fit to layer Checked. Invert transparency UNchecked. Hide all mask Checked. Load. Right click on this layer Merge/Merge Group. Rename this layer smallframe. This is what your image should look like at this point.

7. Activate your top layer. Open up your minimized santa fe image again. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Go to the layer palette drag this layer to below the masked frame you just made. Rename this layer santefe. Use your mover tool to line it up so all sides match up. This is how your image should look like so far.

8. Open up your feathers image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Rename this layer feathers. Use your mover tool to place. This is how your image should like like now.

9. Open up your sftag. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Use your mover tool to place your tag. This is what your image should look like now.

10. Foreground Null. Background Color #624e30 Now we'll add text, this is what I used.

*Go to the Inner middle of your vector text when you see a cross move your text onto your tag. To the right mouse around and you'll see a rocker to rotate your text how you like on your tag.

**Now we're going to add some dropshadows to give this tag depth.
1. Activate Frame layer. Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Invert. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and apply: Vertical and Horizontal both 1, Opacity 100, Blur 6.93, Color Black.

2. Activate innerframe layer. Selections/Select All. Selections/Float. Selections/Invert. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and apply: Vertical and Horizontal both 1, Opacity 100, Blur 34.65, Color Black.

3. For the smallframe, strip, feathers, and tag layers: Go to Effects/3Deffects/dropshadow, and apply: Vertical andHorizontal both 1, Opacity 100, Blur 6.93, Color Black.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions please email me.
