This tutorial is a creation of my own. Any resemblance to
another is purely coincidental. No copyright infrigments are intended. I've used techniques I've learned along the way and new ones as I learn. Please read my Terms before doing my tutorial. I used Paintshop Pro X to make this tutorial, but will be compatible with versions 8 and newer. You will need to have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro to do this tutorial. My tutorials may seem lengthy, but I try to write them so even the moderate beginner can be able to do them as well as the more advanced. I hope you enjoy :) What you will need: Paint Shop Pro if you don't have it you can get an evaluation copy HERE Images/background/text supplies HERE The tubes I've collected along the way or got from a group. Please keep it in contact. If it's yours please let me know so I can give the proper credits. The images are in .psp format and you can unzip them into your images folder. If you dont have a zip program you can get one HERE **Save your work often!!!! 1. Open up a New Image. 600x400. Transparent. Floodfill with White. 2. Open up the MJR_a-pile-of-cats image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Image/Resize by 37 percent, bi-cubic, Resize all layers UNchecked. Move it to the left of your image. 3. Open up the GGCat_089 image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. It will go right in place. Move her to the bottom. 4. Open up the girlkittybackground. Edit/Copy. Edit/Paste as a new layer. Drag this layer down until it's the layer above your White floodfill. Effects/Reflection Effects/Pattern and apply these settings: Horizontal offset -41 Vertical offset -72 Rotation angle 131 Scale factor -11 Number of Columns 3 Number of rows 13 Horizontal shift 0 Vertical shift 0 OK. Use your mover tool and move this to the right so the lines are even in your image. 5. Use your Magic Wand. Hold down your SHIFT key and click on the 2 white spaces in your image. Selections/Modify/Expand by 2. Add a new layer. Drag this layer below the background stripes you just made. 6. Foreground Color #6583a6. Background Color #c1d3e2. ChangeForeground to gradient. Choose Foreground/Background.Style Linear (first box) Angle 134, Repeats 1. OK. Floodfill the White spaces of your image. 7. Effects/Art Media Effects/Brush Strokes and apply: Softness100 Bristles 50 Width 5 Opacity 100 Length 10 Density 72 Angle 102 Color White. OK. Selections/Select None. 8. Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds and apply: Width 20, Opacity 47, Color Black, Horizontal UNchecked, Light from left/top Checked. OK *Next steps are optional it would be the text I used and bow. See screenshots below for placement. 9. Open up the gkbow image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Move it to the upper right corner. 10. Open up my purrfect text image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Move it to the left side as seen in the screenshot. 11. Open up my friends text image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer.
