This tutorial is my own creation. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental. Please read my TERMS before doing this tutorial. I made this tutorial using PSP X. This should work in PSP 8 and newer versions. The only difference will be that in PSP X the text can go downwards. The image and embellishments I save as PSP 7 compatible and will work. You need to have a working knowledge of PSP to do this tutorial. It may seem long, but I like to write the steps out very clearly and I've added screenshots which are small so it won't take too long to open this page up. All levels with knowledge of PSP can do this tutorial. Have fun, and enjoy :)

**Remember to SAVE your work often!

Open up a 600 X 600, transparent image.

1. Preset Shape - Rectangle. Vector and Anti-alias both Checked. Retain UNchecked. Line Style Solid. Foreground Null. Background Color #bc91ac.

** You may want to write down these coordinates (47,47) > (547,547) in the next step so you don't forget them.
2. Staring towards the left top find the coordinates (47, 47) (You can see them on the bottom right of your status bar as your mouse moves you'll see the numbers moving). Draw out and down to (547, 547). Go to Objects/Align/Center in canvas. Layer Palette, right click, convert to Raster layer
Rename this layer Matt..

3. Effects/Textureffects/Texture. Choose Fine Canvas and apply: Size 25, Smoothness 0, Depth 1, Ambience 0, Shininess 0, Color White, Angle 315, Intensity 50, Elevation 30. OK

4. New layer, name it strip1. Preset Shape - Rectangle. Anti-alias Checked. Vector and Retain UNchecked. Line Style Solid. Foreground Null. Background pkpattern, Angle 0, Scale 100.
Go to the bottom left of your matt, count up 5 of the grey/white squares. The 6th and7th squares will be the width of your strip. Draw your strip across your matt to the end.

5. New layer, name it strip2. Preset Shape - Rectangle same settings. Go to the top left of your matt count over 2 grey/white squares, and the 3rd and 4th squares will be the width of your strip. Draw your strip down to the bottom of your matt. This is what you should have when your 2 strips are done.

6. Open up your bottom heart.psp image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Use your mover tool and place it on the right side of your bottom strip. Use your Eraser tool (see the settings in the screenshot) and erase the part of the heart facing toward the top of your image so the pattern of the strip 1shows.

7. Open up your top heart.psp image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Use your mover tool and place it on the top left side again use your Eraser tool and erase on the right side of the heart so the pattern of the strip 2 shows.
This is what you should have when both hearts are in place.

**You might want to write down these coordinates (219,126) > (424, 335).
8. Preset Shape - Rectangle. Foreground your pkpattern. Angle 0, Scale 100. Background Null. Anti-alias Checked. Vector and Retain UNchecked. Line Style Solid. Width 25. In the empty area on your matt place your mouse at the coordinates (219,126), and draw your rectangle out to (424, 335). Image/Free Rotate, Left checked, 45.00, All Layers UNchecked.  Rotate single layer around canvas center UNchecked. OK

9. Effects/3Deffects/InnerBevel and apply: Bevel #2 (Round), Width 6, Smoothness 20, Depth 2, Ambience 0, Shininess 16, Color White, Angle 315, Intensity 50, Elevation 28. OK. This is what you should have so far with your frame in place.

10. Use your Magic Wand and click it inside of your frame. Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.

11. Add a New layer, and drag it below your frame layer. Open up your kitty image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste into selection. Select None. This is what you should have now so far with your kitty image in place

12. Activate your frame layer. Open up your frame button.psp image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer, use your Mover tool to place your button in a corner. Now comes the trick. You can either duplicate this frame button layer 3 times and use your mover tool to place a button in each corner as seen in my finished image. OR: Right click on the button you just pasted in a corner. Copy. Then Right click again Paste as a New Selection and you'll see your little button attached on your pan, take it to the next corner, left click your mouse button to let it go right where you want it. (don't worry about any marching antz). You don't have to copy anymore because it's in your memory just Go to your next corner right click paste as a new selection. Repeat this for the next 2 corners. Now all four corners should have a button. Selections/Select None.

**Text Settings for Step 13.

13. Adding your Text. This is what I did. Foreground Null. Background Color #e6d5e0. The settings I used are in the Screenshot. Notice the Direction is Vertical Left. The First letter "P" I had the size at 26. After I placed the "P" on my image, layer palette, right click convert to raster layer. Then I changed the size to 12 and typed "recious". I place my "recious" off to the right of the "P". layer palette, convert to raster layer. Right click on that layer. Merge/Merge down, and now your "P" is merged with the "recious" lol. Then I used the filter Penta - Colored dots the settings were: Value 90, Distance 2, R,G,B all 255. OK. Whew! Now I added a Drop Shadow. Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and apply: Vertical and Horizontal both 1, Opacity 100, Blur 3.96, Color Black. OK. This is what you should have when you add your text. Also the next step with the bow and dropshadows. This would be what your finished tag should look like.

14. Let's add a little more depth. Activate your Strip1 layer (the one on the bottom going across). Effects/3Deffects/Dropshadow and apply: Vertical and Horizontal both 1, Opacity 100, Blur 3.96, Color Black. OK. Do the same thing for Strip2.

15. Open up your pkbow.psp image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions please email me :)
