This tutorial is a creation of my own. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental.
No copyright infrigments are intended. I've used techniques I've learned along the way and
new ones as I learn. Please read my
Terms before doing my tutorial. I used Paintshop
Pro X to make this tutorial, but it will be compatible with versions 8 and newer. You will need
to have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro to do this tutorial. My tutorials may seem
lengthy, but I try to write them so even the moderate beginner can be able to do them as well
as the more advanced. I hope you enjoy :)

This tutorial is dedicated to all our brave men and woman and their families. That sacrifice
they're all for our freedoms.

**I came across a website where Xerox has e-cards that are made by children of the
United States. It's a free site where you can pick out a card and add different texts to have
on it and it will be sent to a soldier. I sent one out and it's amazing these children what love
and talent they put into each card. It speaks volumns. I'm in hopes that you may want to send
a card to put a smile on a soldier and let them know how much we care :)

Let's Say Thanks

**Save your work often!!!!

1. Open up a New image. 600x500. Transparent

2. Foreground is Black. Background is White. Change the Foreground to gradient
and choose Foreground/Background. Style is Linear (1st box) Angle 153, Repeats 1. OK.

3. Effects/Art Media/Brush Strokes and apply: Softness 50, Bristles 50, Width 2, Opacity 32,
Length 10, Density 72, Angle 102, Color White. OK. Do this 1 more time.

4. Open up the declarationmist. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Place this in the
of your image. (It should fall right in place).

5. Open up the soldiershumvee mist image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Move
this down to the lower right corner as seen in my finished image at the top. In your
layer palette on this layer turn the opacity down to 46 (or to your liking).

6. Open up the soldieralone mist image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer.
(It should fall right in place) In your layer palette on this layer at the top turn the opacity
down to 85 (or to your liking).

7. Open up the eagleflag mist. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. Move it to the
top left corner as seen in my finished image at the top. In your layer palette on this layer
at the top turn the opacity down to 65 (or to your liking).

8. Activate the "soldiershumvee" layer. Plug-in FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss and apply:
Horizontal and Vertical both -1000, Intensity 0.250, Gray Level 64, Red/Green/Blue Blends
all 0.938, Edge Wrap Checked. Apply. Do this 1 more time.

9. Activate the "soldieralone" layer and apply the FM Tile Tools/Blend emboss, but
only the 1 time, not 2 times like in Step 7. (the settings are the same). Now Activate the
"eagleflagmist" layer and do the apply the same blend emboss you just did.

10. Activate your top layer and you can either Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer the text
I've included or add your own.

11. *Optional-Open up the silverbeadpattern and minimize it.
Image/Add Borders/Original Dimensions is Pixels, Color #800000,
Symmetric Checked, Top/Left/Right and Bottom are all 10. (the reason we use a red
color is because anything with a white or black/grey hue when selected with the magic wand
the ants hop into the image). OK. Click in the red border with your magic wand. Open up the
silverbeadpattern and minimize it.  In yourForeground open up silverbead pattern. Angle 0,
Scale 100. Floodfill the red border.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did making it.
