This tutorial is a creation of my own. Any resemblance to another is purely coincidental.
I've used techniques I've learned along the way and new ones as I learn.
Please read my Terms before doing my tutorial. I used Paintshop Pro X to make this tutorial, but will
be compatible with versions 7 and newer. You will need to have a good working knowledge
of Paint Shop Pro to do this tutorial. My tutorials may seem lengthy,
but I try to write them so even the moderate beginner can be able to do them as
well as the more advanced. I hope you enjoy this tutorial as I have making it. What you will need: Paint Shop Pro if you don't have it you can get an evaluation copy Here .psp images/patterns Download Credit for Cat tube ~LF~. Crdit for Slat image ~Kris~. The images and patterns are in .psp image or .jpg, and you can unzip them into your images folder. If you dont have a zip program you can get one Here. **Save your work often!!!! 1. Open up the slattubes49-kris.psp image this will be our working image. SHIFT+D, (duplicating) close out your original so you don't lose it. 2. Use your magic wand make sure feather is set a 0. Hold down your SHIFT button and click on all the black in your slat until there is marching ants all around. Don't click outside of any black or you'll have to start over again! (I know I did and grrrrrrr'd a lot) lol. 3. New layer. Open up your barnwood pattern, minimize it. Go to your patterns in your llayer palette, find your barnwood set at: Foreground, Angle 0, Scale 100. Floodfill your slat. KEEP SELECTED. 4. Open up your primcats.psp image. Edit/Copy. Edit/Paste into selection. Selections/Select none. Right click in your layer palette, Merge/Merge Down. See my header image how the cats should look on the fence. 5. Right click on your cats layer, Duplicate and shut off the duplicate. Activate your original cats layer. Effects/Texture effects/Soft Plastic and apply: Blur 69, Detail 61, Density 12, Angle 359, Color White. OK. 6. Now open up your duplicate layer. 7. Open up your catsmeowtext.psp image. Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste as a new layer. 8. New layer, Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom and Foreground floodfill with white. 9. Layer palette. Right click Merge/Merge Visible. Resize to your liking and add your watermark. And that's it! Easy and fun :) I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Debbie September 12, 2007 Copyright© 2001-2007 Kreative-Expressionz |
